It’s not the weather report, it’s a prelude to a myth. It’s Neither Rain Nor Snow Day and we are celebrating the opening of the New York Post Office in 1914. The myth is that while the phrase, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds” is etched on the perimeter of New York’s famous James A. Farley Post Office, it is not the motto of the United States Postal Service (USPS). I guess we should be thankful they do deliver through almost anything.
