You know how sometimes you and your friends are playing around and make up a new word, then use that word in public and all of a sudden everyone is using that word?  Well, that’s basically how today’s holiday began.  It’s Internationally Talk Like a Pirate Day!  The pirate guys, John Baur and Mark Summers, are friends who spontaneously started talking like pirates and made it a personal holiday that eventually became an international celebration.  What do you do when pirates take over the world?  Join or walk the plank.  If you don’t plan on walking the plank, brush up on your pirate lingo and join the celebration.  You have permission to go all out.  This is an international holiday.  So, pull out your eye patch, parrot, and hook.
